About The Position

The F-35 Sensor Fusion team is seeking a highly skilled Data Association Engineer to join our team in developing the next generation of sensor fusion algorithms. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, modeling, analyzing and testing Data Association algorithms as well as collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate solutions into Fusion applications. Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance. This position is located at a facility that requires special access. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, or a closely related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional experience developing C++ applications, preferably in real time environments.
  • Strong foundation in numerical methods, linear algebra, or related scientific computing concepts.
  • Proven ability to perform data analysis or validation to verify software correctness.
  • Experience creating automated test suites for validating algorithms.
  • Strong documentation and communication skills for producing clear algorithm specifications and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Must be a US Citizen; this position will require a government security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience implementing common data association techniques (e.g., nearest neighbor, Hungarian assignment, JPDA/MHT) within C++ applications.
  • Ability to design and apply statistical gating, clustering, and outlier rejection strategies to improve association reliability.
  • Familiarity with probabilistic scoring, distance metrics (Mahalanobis, Euclidean) and evaluation measures for association quality.
  • Experience with version control systems (Git) and standard software development tools.
