About The Position

The Global EHS&S Leader will oversee Axalta's global Environmental, Health, Safety and Security programs and is responsible for the global EHS&S strategy development and performance. This role will also lead and oversee Axalta's Health Care Services programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's degree in occupational safety, Health, and Security strongly preferred.
  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the Environmental, Health, Safety and Security fields, preferably in a global leadership role.
  • Global knowledge of EHS&S regulatory requirements.
  • Manufacturing Engineering, Process Safety Management, and Operations experience preferred.
  • Ability to provide strategic guidance and direction to EHSS regional teams.
  • Unquestioned ethics and integrity including the ability to work on confidential matters.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively.
  • Must be willing to travel 25-40% globally.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and guide direct reports in ensuring global EHS&S programs are implemented effectively and in a globally consistent manner at Axalta manufacturing sites, warehouses, mixing centers and points of distributions.
  • Maintain and monitor EHS&S performance metrics and develop strategic improvement opportunities where necessary.
  • Establish key performance indicators as appropriate to advance Axalta's global EHS&S performance.
  • Organize/develop/lead global EHS&S training and training programs.
  • Build strong relationships with Operations management, as well as site teams to support global EHS&S performance.
  • Support site development and implementation of EHS&S standards.
  • Participate in RC14001 management system reviews and provide support for RC14001 management system implementation to sites.
  • Participate in due diligence activities and coordinate, support and monitor EHS&S support for the integration process of new sites/acquisitions.
  • Monitor changes to the regulation and industry EHS&S standards and provide necessary support to site resources.
  • Support sites to implement programs to identify, manage and control hazards and determine appropriate communications process to control EHS&S risks.
  • Facilitate effective Root Cause Analysis and support in the region.
  • Facilitate and provide support to EHSS lessons learned.
  • Lead and support global Health Care Services related responsibilities.
