About The Position

CBS News and Stations' flagship station WCBS, CBS New York is looking for a hardworking, innovative, and detailed Senior Writer/Producer ready to tackle a growing leadership role in our Creative Services Department! Working with the VP of Brand and Marketing, the ideal candidate will build and lead dynamic marketing and content campaigns and help develop long-term brand strategies.

Requirements

• Candidates with 7+ years of experience in promotion and production are encouraged to apply.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven problem-solving skills and the ability to achieve results.
• A strong proficiency in graphic design, editing, production systems, and software is also required.
• Previous experience in the field of mass media, communications, marketing, or advertising would be a plus.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with VP of Brand and Marketing to develop all aspects of brand and marketing executions across platforms.
• Collaborate with News Director and News Team to ensure alignment with the overall brand strategy.
• Uphold brand standards and guidelines across all platforms, maintain workflows and enhance operational procedures.
• Connect with research teams to understand viewer insights and translate those insights into data-driven branding strategies and campaigns.
• Take the lead in creating and writing marketing messages for community partners, commercial clients and internal partners.
• Help develop media plans and media buying campaigns.
