About The Position

The Senior Workday HRIS Specialist plays a crucial role in managing and optimizing the HRIS system at Dealer Tire. This position is responsible for ensuring data integrity, configuring workflows, and supporting HR processes across various functions. The specialist will collaborate with HR departments and IT to enhance system functionality, provide user support, and lead projects aimed at improving HR operations and analytics.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • 3+ years' experience with configuring Workday HCM modules and security.
  • Experience in HRIS, ERP or database management, digital records management, training, and system integration.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes and data impacts.
  • Strong problem identification, solving, and resolution skills.
  • Interest and capability in using data and analytics for trend identification.
  • Advanced Excel, SQL, Power BI or other query/reporting technical skills.
  • Excellent project management, workflow, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, oral/written communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential HR information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with HR software implementations and integrations.
  • Familiarity with training methodologies and user documentation development.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the HRIS system is secured and data integrity is maintained.
  • Configure workflows, user interfaces, and other system aspects to support HR business needs.
  • Assist subject matter experts with data integrity and testing of system changes.
  • Manage Workday's semi-annual releases and coordinate testing plans.
  • Support end users with self-service functionality and resolve technical issues.
  • Establish standard operating procedures for HR personnel related to HR systems.
  • Create documentation for business requirements and functional specifications.
  • Enhance import and export interfaces and resolve technical issues with vendors.
  • Conduct audit activities to ensure data integrity within the HRIS system.
  • Analyze HR processes and recommend solutions for improvements.
  • Collaborate with HR leadership and IT to define business requirements for technology improvements.
  • Initiate projects that positively impact the business.
  • Train internal HR resources on new processes and functionality.
  • Maintain awareness of current trends in HRIS and continuously increase knowledge.
