About The Position

Alterra Mountain Company is seeking a Sr Workday HRIS Analyst to support the organization’s HRIS system. This role will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operational needs of the Workday environment including, but not limited to, Security management, supporting ongoing enhancements, data changes, testing, reporting, and general platform and end-user support.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of Workday configuration experience
  • Strong business analysis experience, including requirements gathering, fit-gap analysis, testing, documentation, etc.
  • Demonstrated competency in documenting solutions for both technical and functional audiences.
  • Experience with testing, including definition and execution of test plans and scenarios.
  • Proficient in the MS Office suite of products
  • Proficient in the use of Enterprise Interface Builder (EIB)
  • Reporting Tools.
  • General knowledge of Finance General Ledger & Accounting Principals
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Demonstrated success in managing multiple tasks in a complex and fast changing environment
  • Self-motivated and directed with the ability to learn quickly
  • Able to multi-task and concurrently manage multiple tasks
  • Able to work independently
  • Team oriented with strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Able to drive results
  • Diploma or certificate in human resource management, or equivalent experience.
  • Diploma or certificate in information technology will also be considered.
  • BA/BS in Human Resources, Business Administration, Information Technology or a related field
  • 5+ years of professional experience in Human Resources, Information Technology or similarly applicable field

Nice To Haves

  • Workday PRO certification
  • Experience in Microsoft Power BI tool or other analytic tools
  • Conceptual understanding of various integration tools

Responsibilities

  • Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs/requirements
  • Advanced skills in Workday HCM along with two other supporting modules
  • Ability to lead process discussions which will result in overall system design
  • This position assists junior team members on advanced system concepts, configuration and reporting
  • Collaborate with functional and technical stakeholders to optimize business processes (particularly workflow/security), implement new functionality, and actively participate in major projects as needed
  • Work with internal teams and AMS support to properly configure Workday
  • Applying technical expertise to the most complex HRIS issues
  • Establish plans for ongoing enhancements and support of the Workday platform as a whole
  • Assist with the day-to-day operational needs of the Workday environment including user management, role changes, data changes and analysis as needed
  • Develop and modify reports, analytics, metrics and dashboards for management and functional Workday users
  • Assist in managing and testing Workday major releases, identifying impact and enhancement opportunities associated with a new release, and communicating appropriately with the various business unit leads
  • Work with the various business units to prepare and upload Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs) for mass data entry
  • Actively participate in Workday Community and User Groups to identify any potential issues as well as identify any new solutions to existing issues
  • Work independently with great team spirit
  • Take full ownership of and accountability for assigned tasks and communicate status accurately to management and teams
  • Other duties as assigned
