About The Position

About the role: As a key member of the People Technology & Operations team, you will be instrumental in the continued expansion and deployment of Workday functionality. You will partner with Samsara's key stakeholders to implement streamlined operations processes and optimal technology solutions for our People Team programs. You are comfortable acting as an internal consultant to global HR and business stakeholders and can showcase your experience in HR and Workday to develop lasting solutions that solve complex business challenges. Lastly, you are highly driven and bring demonstrated experience succeeding in high-growth, fast-paced organizations. This is a remote position open to candidates residing in the US except Alaska, Austin Metro, Boulder Metro, California, Chicago Metro, Connecticut, Dallas Metro, Denver Metro, Houston Metro, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Rhode Island, Seattle Metro, and Washington, D.C.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience working for fast-growing, global companies
  • 4+ years experience in Workday configuration with at least 2+ configuring Workday benefits module
  • 2+ years experience configuring core HCM required
  • Experience in Workday business process configuration, security, and organization configuration
  • Experience in Workday HCM, Benefits, and Core HCM modules in U.S. and International locations
  • Experience writing and completing test scenarios for system implementations and enhancements
  • Experience leading and configuring Compensation grids for the annual review process
  • Strong understanding of Benefits best practices, HR processes, and compliance.
  • Experience documenting and analyzing requirements.
  • Familiar with Agile methodologies and prioritization
  • Ability to prioritize workload and deliver enhancements or fixes on time without supervision.
  • Provide accurate timelines, follow-up, and required documentation for change management

  • Experience working with Jira, Zendesk, and other business applications integrating to Workday

Responsibilities

  • Own and continuously enhance the Workday Benefits module , ensuring scalable and efficient configuration
  • Design, build, test, and deploy Open Enrollment configurations end-to-end
  • Build, modify, and optimize custom Workday reports related to Benefits and HCM
  • Partner cross-functionally with Benefits, HR, Payroll, Finance, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into Workday solutions
  • Scope and prioritize Workday releases in the Benefits space
  • Partner with developers and vendors to enhance Workday Benefits integrations, troubleshoot issues, and improve benefits data flows
  • Review proposed system changes to identify opportunities for process improvement and standardization
  • Triage and configure Workday enhancements or fixes for HCM, Compensation, Payroll, and reporting
  • Partner with People Operations teams to gather, document, and validate business requirements for programs executed through Workday
  • Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
