We are looking for a Senior Wireless Test Engineer to specialize in testing and validating Wi-Fi, BLE, Bluetooth, and UWB technologies. This role involves developing, executing, and automating test plans while ensuring high-quality product performance. The ideal candidate will have expertise in wireless standards, testing methodologies, and hands-on experience with relevant test equipment.

  • Develop, execute, and automate test plans for Wi-Fi, BLE, Bluetooth, and UWB technologies.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing of Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, BLE, and UWB connectivity, including stress tests, performance benchmarking, and interoperability assessments with a variety of devices.
  • Collaborate closely with hardware, firmware, and software engineers to define testing requirements and troubleshooting methods.
  • Provide technical expertise to design and improve testing workflows, tools, and methodologies for Wi-Fi, BLE, and UWB protocols.
  • Create detailed module-level functional requirements defining internal logic, triggering conditions, data storage, vehicle & cloud interface, power modes, Wi-Fi/Bluetooth connection management, etc.
  • Develop detailed sub-system & system level (end to end) test plans, incorporating wireless communication testing (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth).
  • BS Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related to job responsibilities.
  • 5+ years of experience in wireless communication testing with a strong focus on Wi-Fi, BLE, and UWB technologies.
  • Experience writing test plans.
  • Experience with Wi-Fi 6, 6E, and Wi-Fi 7 standards and advanced features of Bluetooth (e.g., BLE Mesh, Bluetooth LE Audio).
  • Thorough understanding of embedded module architecture: Microcontrollers, SoC, Flash, RAM, device drivers, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth modules.
  • Thorough understanding of vehicle to cloud connectivity: VLAN, VPN, TCP/IP stack, etc., with associated security elements like SSL, message-level encryption, code signing, as well as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth security protocols.
  • Good overall understanding/experience with high-speed communication buses like USB, Ethernet, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc., for automotive applications.
  • Detailed understanding of configuration and software reflash through OTA reflash mechanisms, with specific experience in wireless protocol updates for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth modules.
  • Familiarity with UWB technologies for device positioning and ranging (e.g., IEEE 802.15.4z), and testing in real-world scenarios.
  • Knowledge of RF test and measurement equipment and techniques for advanced Wi-Fi, BLE, and UWB testing.
  • Expertise in network security protocols (e.g., WPA3, Bluetooth LE security) and their impact on wireless communication.
  • Experience with Hardware design, schematic capture and PCB layout design.
  • Understanding of wireless certification processes (e.g., FCC, CE, Bluetooth Fira).
  • Relocation benefits may be available.
  • Base compensation range: $131,000 - $202,800.
  • Bonus potential based on company performance, job level, and individual performance.
