About The Position
Cirrus Design Corporation, a leading manufacturer of FAA certified small aircraft, is seeking a Senior Wire Harness Engineer to join our team in McKinney, TX. This position is crucial for the design and installation of electrical wire harnesses specifically for FAA certified single engine aircraft. The Senior Wire Harness Engineer will work closely with various engineering disciplines to thoroughly understand and capture wiring requirements, ensuring that all installations are compatible with surrounding elements. This role also involves collaboration with production and product development groups to guarantee that wiring installations meet all safety, performance, and regulatory requirements. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for the complete lifecycle of wire harness development, from initial design through to installation. This includes creating detailed schematics and 3D models, as well as adapting designs in response to product assembly issues. The engineer will also be expected to validate designs and ensure that they comply with industry standards and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical engineering, particularly in the context of aircraft, automotive, or marine electrical wiring design, and will be adept at working within a team to achieve project goals.
