GovCIO is currently hiring for a Senior Windows Systems Administrator with an active Secret clearance to provide direct customer support and serve as an internal escalation point for Government NOC team. Requirements

  • High School with 9+ years of Windows systems administration (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: Active Secret with the ability to obtain and hold DEA suitability.

Responsibilities

  • Works in the NOC to provide direct customer support and serve as an internal escalation point for services to include:
  • Manage and maintain Active Directory user accounts, groups, and organizational units.
  • Configure and troubleshoot Group Policies.
  • Administer DHCP, DNS, and file/directory permissions, Utilize PowerShell for automation, reporting, and system management.
  • Manage folder and file share permissions following least‑privilege principles.
  • Perform data migrations and backups using Robocopy and related tools.
  • Manage VMware hosts and virtual machines.
  • Perform drive expansions, resource adjustments, and VM lifecycle tasks.
  • Configure and maintain server autostart and failover behaviors.
  • Monitor and manage Dell server hardware using OpenManage.
  • Configure and troubleshoot iDRAC for remote management and diagnostics.
  • Work directly with users, vendors, and internal teams.
  • Must be comfortable using the phone to communicate clearly and professionally.
  • Document procedures, changes, and troubleshooting steps.
