What You Will Do: Administer and maintain operations of software applications and hardware platforms by analyzing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting technical issues. Provide timely technical assistance to users and excellent customer care. Maintain hardware and software security updates on a recurring schedule. Configure new systems including hardening security settings and testing. Active Directory Object Management (i.e. user, computer, groups). Manage NTFS and file share permissions. Identify, analyze and remediate technical challenges. Administer backups; diagnose and remediate backup errors. Partner with application/project/security/program/third party teams to plan, design, and implement new information technology hardware. Manage client agents for server management and monitoring. Create and maintain technical and process documentation.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience deploying Windows workstation hardware, platform software, and migrating end-user data
  • Must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with patch management software to apply security patches and adhere to compliance standards.
  • Experience with operating systems, system cloning, and deployment.
  • Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services administration and support (e.g. user and computer object administration, Group Policy).
  • Experience with an IT incident/service request systems
  • Experience implementing hardware and software-based enterprise encryption standards.
  • Experience with Windows command line and related utilities.
  • Experience with servers, tape libraries, and storage platforms.
  • Experience building, configuring and deploying virtual servers.
  • Automation via scripting.
  • Experience with applications such as MatLab, Green Hills Software, DOORS, and Atlassian Suite GmbH.
