Requirements

  • Typically requires a University degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required prior to start date.
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
  • Experience deploying Windows workstations and migrating end-user data.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with cloning techniques.
  • Microsoft Windows Active Directory Services administration and support (e.g. user and computer objects administration, Group Policy).
  • Experience with supporting desktop / workstation hardware and software.
  • Bitlocker expertise.
  • Practical knowledge of server virtualization (e.g. ESXi) platforms.
  • Automation via scripting.
  • Experience with engineering applications such as MatLab, Green Hills Software, DOORS, and Atlassian Suite GmbH.
  • CompTIA Security+ certification or other industry-recognized certifications relevant to a Windows System Administrator.

Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain operational support of software applications and hardware platforms.
  • Analyze, diagnose, troubleshoot, test, and resolve technical issues.
  • Provide timely technical assistance to users and excellent customer care.
  • Apply hardening security settings.
  • Active Directory Object Management (i.e. user, computer, groups).
  • Manage NTFS and share permissions.
  • Identify, analyze and remediate technical challenges.
  • Administer backups; diagnose and remediate backup errors.
  • Partner with application/project/security/program teams and third-party vendors to plan, design, and implement new information technology infrastructure.
