About The Position

The Role: We seek a self-motivated Senior Windows Engineer/Administrator to join the ION WINDOWS/Citrix Global team. Key Responsibilities: The Senior Windows Engineer / Administrator will be added to an existing Global IT team where they will interact with all IT functional areas (e.g., Architecture, Design, Licensing, Helpdesk/Desktop Support, and Application Development) The Senior Windows Administrator will work in a dynamic, heterogeneous environment and must have an extensive technical background, including experience in troubleshooting, monitoring, maintenance, and networking

Requirements

Senior Windows Engineer / Administrator
Financial or Trading Experience is a plus.
Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year university in computer science, information science, or related technical field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Thorough knowledge (5+ years) of Windows deployment, administration, networking, performance monitoring/tuning, security hardening, troubleshooting and production operations.
Highly organized, self-motivated, multi-task, able to work independently, and a team player.
Must have operations experience in 24/7 environments
Must be knowledgeable of Windows Servers 2016 – 2022 and Active Directory.
Experience supporting Citrix is a plus
Must be willing to work some weekend shifts in support of maintenance and participate in On-call for overnights, weekends, and holidays on a rotational basis.
System configuration experience (PowerShell, Ansible)
System monitoring experience (SNMP, Nagios, OMD, HPE One View, etc.)
Familiarity with Ticket systems (Remedy and Jira)
Have familiarity with basic Linux commands.
Working knowledge of virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.) is a plus
Working knowledge of HPE SAN (Primera) is a plus
The ideal candidate will have worked within the financial industry with a robust Windows implementation and support background.
