This position reports to: Engineering Manager - Paper Drives Syste __ Your role and responsibilities In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as the technical lead for all engineering activities in assignments. Each day, you will ensure that the activities related to engineering disciplines within the project are executed in an efficient and cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by providing technical support to commissioning and start-up activities. The work model for the role is hybrid. #LI-Hybrid This role is contributing to the Automation, Process Industries (Pulp and Paper Drives Systems) group in North America. You will be mainly accountable for: Acting as a role model in applying design thinking or design for excellence concepts in projects, including modelling, prototyping, simulation, and calculations. Serving as a specialist in the application of advanced concepts and methods. Leading, supervising, and coordinates teams (5-25 members) in all engineering disciplines (both in-house and outsourced) on projects of medium complexity. Collaborating on project installation, commissioning, and site activities, to clarify potential issues or provide solutions to rectify the engineering errors. Requirements

Bachelors degree in an Engineering Discipline.
12 or more years of experience.
Knowledge of and experience with paper machines and winders in the paper industry.
Candidates must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US.

Nice To Haves

An enhanced knowledge of ABB software in winder applications is strongly preferred.
