About The Position
Join the ECI Group's Professional Technical Services Network as an CWI Senior Wells Engineer. This is a Houston-Based a twelve-month contract role with a January 6, 2006 start and ending on December 29, 2026. JOB DESCRIPTION Technical Scope & Expertise Senior-level Wells Engineer role focused on design, planning, and management of drilling operations. Must handle mid-level wells engineering complexity, including casing/tubing string design and activity unit selection. Requires translating Shell Wells guidelines/standards into practical execution with measurable business impact. Expected to drive technology adoption and field optimization opportunities.
Requirements
- Strong, hands-on Wells Engineering experience in drilling/completions/interventions (not junior-level).
- Direct experience managing drilling operations and collaborating with multi-disciplinary stakeholders and contractors.
- Previous exposure to budget impact, operational efficiency, and leading technical recommendations.
- Ability to coordinate work independently and bring together inputs across teams.
- Strong communicator who can represent Shell externally as a subject matter expert when needed.
- Must be capable of delivering recommendations that influence operational decisions.
Nice To Haves
- Experience guiding or mentoring others in Wells engineering is preferred.
