Duties for this position will include welding various types of metal (steel, aluminum, cast iron, etc.) and various welding processes (ARC and MIG) per instructions and blueprint, utilizing a variety of machine shop equipment, including horizontal saws, overhead cranes, forklifts and other related equipment & tooling. Requirements

  • Regularly inspections on customers' equipment for weld/salvages possibilities by visual inspection, and using testing, diagnostic and measuring equipment to determine problems or malfunctions.
  • Weld/salvage parts on frames, engines, hydraulic systems, attachments and related power train systems, and custom fabrication as needed.
  • Write detailed and accurate service reports stating the nature of the job and details pertaining the work that has been completed.
  • Review data from the troubleshooting and inspection process to work up detailed and accurate parts orders.
  • Measures assembled and disassembled components, primarily hydraulic cylinders and pressure vessels.
  • Compare disassembled components against the original manufacturer's specifications.
  • Recommend proper repairs and remanufacturing procedures.
  • Completes work in the shop.
  • Clean and service all welding machines and is required to keep a clean workplace.
  • Work with a positive attitude, spirit of cooperation and mentor co-workers.
  • One-year certificate or A.S. degree from a community college or technical school; Ten plus years industry experience or equivalent education and experience.
