About The Position

Roblox's web engineering team is at the heart of our Marketing, Brands, Education, and Safety initiatives. We're currently undertaking a major transformation of our website to rethink how we engage with our creators, approach prospective brands, and share our accomplishments. This involves an overhaul of both our web presence and marketing strategy. We're a highly collaborative team of engineers, product managers, designers, and marketers seeking an experienced engineer to guide us on this journey. Requirements

• Web Development Expertise: Deep understanding of both static and server-side website architectures and technologies.
• CMS-driven Platform Development: Extensive experience leading the development of robust web platforms powered by Content Management Systems.
• Modern UI Frameworks: Proficiency with at least one modern framework like Angular, React, or Vue.js.
• Marketing Technology Stack: Experience working with tools like Google Analytics, Marketo, and Segment or other similar technologies.
• Cloud Infrastructure: Proficient in cloud platforms like AWS or similar.
• Technical SEO: Understanding of technical SEO principles and optimization techniques.
• Proven Leadership & Collaboration: Prior Tech Lead experience with a strong track record of collaboration with Engineering Managers, Product Managers, and other stakeholders.
• Mentorship & Coaching: Experience in coaching and mentoring mid-level and senior engineers.

Responsibilities

• Develop and Deploy Features: Define and deliver a cutting-edge web platform that empowers the creation of engaging, interactive, and impactful web pages.
• Technical Strategy & Execution: Lead the technical strategy for the web platform, focusing on performance, availability, reliability, accessibility, user experience, and development velocity. Actively contribute to implementing this strategy.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with Marketing, Design, and Product teams to define strategy, roadmap, and timelines.
• Team Development: Onboard new team members and cultivate a culture of technical excellence.
• Frontend Platform Advocacy: Represent the needs of the web team within broader frontend platform initiatives related to build, deploy, and monitoring processes.
