About The Position

Investment Security Group (ISG) was founded in 1992 with the mission of becoming a “client first” boutique practice offering a one-stop resource of personalized investment and financial planning services. Over three decades later, we’ve held true to these ideals. Our practice is an ensemble of financial professionals where team members work together on behalf of our clients. We are fiduciaries and truly believe our collaborative approach creates a positive result for every client we serve. In September 2021, ISG partnered with Hightower Advisors LLC. This partnership allows ISG the autonomy to maintain our boutique practice culture yet offer the resources of a much larger organization. The Role We are looking for an experienced Senior Wealth Advisor who is a relationship builder at heart with a strong track record of making a positive impact on clients’ lives. You will cultivate deep relationships with clients while managing the relationship including investments, taxation, estate planning and retirement planning. As a senior member of our team, you are self-motivated and skilled at managing client relationships. You can perform at a high level under variable workloads and work well in a highly collaborative team environment. You will report to the CEO.

Requirements

  • Experience with financial planning concepts; experience delivering applicable advice and implementing their financial plan
  • Experience with tax, advanced planning, estate and trust, and philanthropic strategies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to simplify complex concepts for clients with different levels of investment experience
  • Work respectfully in a team environment supporting a growing advisory practice
  • 7 or more years of direct client-facing experience in the investment / wealth management business
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledgeable in advanced planning concepts to include personal tax, asset management, financial planning, insurance, trust and estate, and retirement planning
  • Series 65; Insurance licenses a plus
  • You are a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident or have other unrestricted U.S. work authorization and will not require sponsorship for U.S. work authorization now or anytime in the future.

Responsibilities

  • Integrating economic insights, market developments, portfolio positioning, and conduct client-focused meetings and presentations.
  • Maintain and expand existing client relationships ensuring the successful transition and retention of clients
  • Attract and develop new client relationships by promoting a network of COI’s, referrals and community involvement, in addition to working with prospective clients
  • Oversee the preparation of client financial plans and comprehensive client wealth management reviews, and present these to clients
  • Establish client investment goals, asset allocation, risk tolerance, cash flow planning, and due diligence
  • Develop strong relationships with clients becoming a trusted resource for all aspects of their financial lives
  • Maintain frequent contact with clients including periodic out of state travel for in-person meetings
  • Regularly communicate with clients regarding their financial plan, updating with all circumstances, needs and objectives and reviewing investment performance.
  • Educate clients about market conditions and evidence-based investment principles, regulatory or tax changes, and other factors that may influence clients’ decisions or behavior.
  • Contribute to our Investment Committee discussions around asset allocation and security selection

  • Base salary of $140,000-$160,000 plus a bonus structure based on client retention and new assets brought into the practice
