About The Position

WSP currently has a career opportunity for a Senior Water / Wastewater Engineer in Tempe, AZ to be involved in projects with our team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client's objectives and solves their challenges. Our ideal candidate has an interest in learning and being engaged in a variety of projects including municipal, industrial and mining water / wastewater conveyance and treatment. The primary focus of the position is project work for the development of engineering studies, design reports, construction documents, and construction oversight/administration related to water and wastewater infrastructure in the municipal and industrial markets in Arizona and across the country. Requirements

  • BS degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or other related engineering field.
  • Minimum of 5 - 7 years of relevant experience (may include post-graduate work).
  • PE or PE eligibility desired; having an AZ PE a plus.
  • Demonstrated experience with engineering of multi-disciplined water/wastewater projects.
  • Successful engineering project delivery.
  • Proficiency in detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance systems and wastewater collection systems.
  • Strong organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, team-oriented, hardworking and intent on doing great work.
  • Must pass background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving policy.

Nice To Haves

  • MS degree in a related engineering field.
  • Experience using CAD software.

Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering services in support of planning, studies, analysis and design of water and wastewater treatment and collection/distribution systems.
  • Prepare design computations and quantity estimates.
  • Create detailed designs of water and wastewater treatment, water conveyance systems and wastewater collection systems.
  • Work with CAD designers to prepare plans/drawings for water and wastewater infrastructure systems.
  • Occasional field work and travel to project sites in the US may be required.
