AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Senior Water Resources Engineer II to join our Moving I-4 Forward Program Office in Celebration, FL. This is a client location and will be required to be onsite full time. The Moving I-4 Forward initiative is poised to transform a critical corridor in Florida and reshape the transportation industry’s approach to delivery.   • Provide professional engineering consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of diverse projects.
  • Develop and evaluate engineering reports, plans, and specification criteria.
  • Coordinate with a diversified project team, including client communication, proposal coordination, marketing, presentations, and management of other discipline-related activities.
  • Prepare specifications, scaled drawings, and proposals, ensuring finished plans, specifications, and approval of materials and construction.
  • Meet with clients to determine objectives and requirements for executing desired scope.
  • Review junior staff's work for technical accuracy and provide technical guidance to other professionals and technicians.
  • Perform quality control reviews, field reviews, and observations of ongoing construction projects.
  • Review and approve scopes, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Serve as the team expert and/or project lead, leading a discipline team or small multidisciplinary teams to complete projects.
  • Manage a small team of direct reports.
  • Have a degree in engineering from an ABET accredited program and seven years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Be a professional engineer in good standing.
  • Be knowledgeable of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances.
  • Be proficient in production software and construction document production.
  • Have proven ability to successfully address challenging or potentially controversial issues in a sound professional and business-like manner.
  • Have experience working on parts of major projects or multiple moderate-size projects and providing technical guidance to junior-level staff.
  • Possess strong oral and written communication skills and have the ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders.
