About The Position

Arcadis is looking for a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer to join our world-class firm working within our Water Resiliency Planning & Design Teams. This hybrid role can be based in any of our Ohio locations including Cincinnati, Toledo, Cleveland or Akron, OH As a Senior Water & Hydraulic Engineer, you will leverage your expertise in hydraulics, collection system planning, and computer modeling, combined with data analytics, to guide local project teams. You will play a key role in leading projects, mentoring junior staff, and developing new business opportunities. Your work will help protect natural resources while contributing to climate change adaptation and urban resiliency.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in water and hydraulic engineering
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering
  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification or a Professional Engineer (PE) license, or the ability to obtain one within one year of hire.
  • Strong experience with hydraulic modeling, particularly using SWMM and/or ICM, is essential, along with proficiency in GIS.
  • Excellent communication skills, both oral and written and a deep understanding of wastewater hydraulic modeling and master planning

  • Project delivery experience and familiarity with computer programming tools like Power BI or Python.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and review of technical reports
  • Lead client presentations
  • Coordinating project deliverables
  • Contributing to scope definition and project pursuits
  • Enhance the technical knowledge within the team by attending workshops, presenting at industry events, and reviewing professional publications
  • Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or project oversight
  • Develop wastewater and stormwater collection system models, conducting system planning, and performing regulatory studies
  • Provide valuable technical input on new and ongoing projects, guide technical teams, and help ensure the successful delivery of projects
