About The Position

Ashland has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Warehouse Technician to join our Life Sciences business at our Aquarius Plant in Wilmington, DE. This is a significant role at the plant and the Manufacturing function. This position will report to the Plant Manager. The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following: Receive materials into the Limited Access Warehouse (LAW) per the appropriate procedures as required Unload trucks Enter shipment into SAP Inspect shipment Sample raw materials for release testing Label the containers Receive small parts and equipment per the appropriate procedures as required Transport materials between Buildings 8165 & 8159 and stage raw materials for upcoming production. Maintain the current inventory of materials in the LAW and maintain warehouse housekeeping Maintain current inventory of necessary supplies (packaging, gowning, safety, cleaning, etc.) Perform monthly cycle counts Prepare shipments, generate shipping paperwork, and load trucks per appropriate procedures Manage expired raw materials: Placing expired materials in a segregated area Interfacing with QA to determine if re-certifying is possible Ensure hazardous and non-hazardous wastes are stored and disposed of properly. Interface with the site allocator, lead operator, plant manager, and QA manager to coordinate raw material ordering to ensure raw materials are available for upcoming batches Additionally: Participate in weekly planning meetings Track formulations and required raw material consumption Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental procedures and guidelines. Assist other departments and Production as needed. Actively contribute to the organizational goals by taking initiative, executing on goals, and focusing on performance and safety Improve the organization's capacity and capabilities through building collaborative relationships, optimizing diverse talent, and utilizing positive communications and influence with others What This Role Is Not: Not a management position – while you will collaborate with other team members, this is an individual contributor role with no direct reports Not an entry-level position – we need a candidate to hit the ground running with solid experience and a background to prove it

Requirements

  • HS/AA degree with at least two years of experience in warehousing and/or material planning. Alternatively, a High School diploma/GED equivalent from an accredited institution, along with at least 5 years of extensive experience in pharmaceutical warehousing and/or material planning.
  • Demonstrates good interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills.
  • An extensive understanding of the requirements of cGMP and their application.
  • Prior Forklift Experience
  • Competency in the use of common computer software packages.
  • Attentive to detail, good planning & organizational skills.
  • Flexibility to work overtime/different shifts as required.
  • Demonstrate responsible and ethical behavior at all times
  • The ability to help the company drive greater value through understanding the business, making complex decisions, and creating new and different
