About The Position

UCI Health is the clinical enterprise of the University of California, Irvine, and the only academic health system based in Orange County. It comprises UCI Medical Center, a 459-bed acute care hospital, four hospitals and affiliated physicians of the UCI Health Community Network, and ambulatory care centers across the region. UCI Medical Center is recognized among America’s Best Hospitals and provides tertiary and quaternary care, housing Orange County’s only National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer center, high-risk perinatal/neonatal program, Level I adult and Level II pediatric trauma center, gold level 1 geriatric emergency department, and regional burn center. The incumbent in this position performs assigned nursing procedures, takes vital signs, collects and processes specimens for analysis, and assists physicians with examinations and treatments. They also observe, record, and report the physical and mental condition of patients.

Requirements

Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Minimum 6 months experience working as an LVN in an acute care setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Licensed Vocational Nurse
Basic Life Support
