About The Position

Centex Technologies is hiring a Senior VMware Platform Engineer to support the Department of State’s secure VMware and hyper-converged environment. You will design and manage vSphere 8.x, NSX, vSAN, and DellEMC VxRail/PowerFlex clusters, while driving automation and security hardening.

This position requires:
US Citizenship
Active DoD Top Secret (TS) clearance

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
• 7+ years of VMware engineering experience (architecture, design, implementation).
• Hands-on NSX and vSAN experience.
• Proven experience with DellEMC VxRail or comparable HCI platforms.
• Strong knowledge of Ansible, PowerCLI, or similar automation tools.
• Experience working in TS environments or high-side networks.
• Active TS clearance.
• US Citizenship

Nice To Haves

• VMware VCP-DCV, VCAP, or equivalent certifications.
• Experience with PowerFlex and federal civilian agency environments.

Responsibilities

• Engineer and support VMware vSphere, NSX-T/NSX-V, and vSAN solutions across multiple environments.
• Plan and operate DellEMC VxRail and PowerFlex clusters, including upgrades and lifecycle management.
• Integrate virtual infrastructure with storage and network, including ToR switches, VLANs, and routing.
• Develop Ansible playbooks for provisioning, patch management, and compliance tasks.
• Apply DISA STIGs and implement security configurations and remediation plans.
• Produce clear documentation and participate in change control and incident/problem management.
