About the position

ServiceNow is looking for a Senior Visual Communications Designer to join our diverse team of creative talent. This role leads the direction and execution of a variety of creative projects across all channels including core brand deliverables, internal communications, event experiences, video production, digital experiences, and beyond. You are a creative problem solver who can think strategically but also loves getting into the details to ensure final creative is fine-tuned to meaningfully move key business metrics by delivering world-class creative.

Responsibilities

  • Apply strategic visual thinking and design skills to deliver end-to-end visual solutions.
  • Create deliverables on business strategy and goals, build equity in ServiceNow’s visual identity, and showcase world-class design refinement.
  • Think outside of the box and contribute dynamically to ServiceNow’s creative standards to push brand narrative and innovation forward.
  • Lead design buildout from project beginning to delivery, including discovery, visual exploration, concept refinement, and delivery.
  • Utilize industry design standards and best practices to define and implement design criteria, design guidelines, and advocate for best design practices internally.
  • Partner closely with DT Engagement to offer Full creative strategy services, strategic content recommendations, and creative review and support.
  • Bring new creative inspiration to the team and create compelling design concepts, illustrations, icons, data visualizations, and artwork.
  • Provide strategic creative direction to internal and external creative partners including visual direction, storyboards, visual solution direction, and more.
  • Collaborate with and effectively articulate design decisions to a vast set of partners including adoption strategists, change managers, video production teams, leadership teams and other stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience in leveraging or critically thinking about how to integrate AI into work processes, decision-making, or problem-solving.
  • 8+ years of experience designing and extending brand visual identities, creating award-winning design pieces, and scaling end-to-end event identities.
  • Portfolio demonstrating ability to implement a combination of strategic, conceptual, and design skills crafting original, persuasive, and visually compelling work.
  • Proven experience creating impactful, custom illustrations.
  • Robust brainstorming and video storyboarding experience.
  • Strong conceptual thinking and ability to articulate design rationale to non-designers.
  • Deep understanding and expertise in core areas of visual design, including typography, grid/layout, color theory, logo + identity design, design systems, photography.
  • Deep understanding of project and design processes that yield world-class work, and the ability to self-manage bandwidth to effectively meet milestones and deadlines.
  • Intimate knowledge of the latest design tools and workflows, including Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, Figma, Miro, Workshop, and other project management tools.
  • Comfortable working both independently and with internal and external collaborators, copywriters, video production teams, project managers, and team leads and executives.
  • Comfortable with a level of ambiguity and operating autonomously to ensure project progress.
