The Council on Foreign Relations (CFR) is seeking a creative and experienced Senior Video Producer to join its award-winning video team. This role is pivotal in producing a diverse array of video content that will be featured on the Council's website and various distribution channels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in video production, including writing, producing, and editing visually compelling video explainers, short-form documentaries, and animated graphics. A passion for visual storytelling and collaborative problem-solving is essential for success in this position. As a Senior Video Producer, you will be responsible for producing and editing various video products, including social video explainers and short-form documentaries, tailored for platforms such as YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, and X (formerly Twitter). You will collaborate closely with fellow staff members, including writers, editors, and Council experts, to create engaging video narratives that effectively communicate foreign policy concepts to a broader audience through evocative imagery and motion graphics. Your role will also involve researching photo and footage needs, negotiating licensing terms with vendors, writing and editing scripts, and facilitating in-studio on-camera appearances and interviews. You will manage the daily production schedule, track deliverables, and communicate effectively with the Director of Video, colleagues, and senior leadership. Staying informed about video trends, best practices, and emerging social platforms will be crucial to maintaining the Council's competitive edge in video production.
