About The Position

The Senior Video Producer for Computer Science and Artificial Intelligence (CSAIL) will perform high visibility, public-facing video content about the research and people of CSAIL. This role involves creating videos about recently published work to accompany news stories that appear in mass media outlets, as well as producing creative videos about CSAIL to be distributed via CSAIL's primary social media channels. The Senior Video Producer will ensure that CSAIL's public video content exhibits high production values and maintains a consistent voice, visual identity, and brand. Additionally, the producer will pitch video ideas to the Communications Manager and will be responsible for all aspects of video production including pre-production, storyboards, production, and post-production. The role also includes handling all internal and external video requests, providing video content for social media channels, and tracking all video analytics. The work of the Senior Video Producer is crucial in presenting CSAIL clearly, engagingly, and understandably to a wide general audience, thereby increasing the exposure of CSAIL and amplifying the CSAIL brand.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a discipline relevant to videography or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of five years of related experience in shooting, editing, and posting high quality video and photography.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in academia and/or corporate video production.
  • Drone pilot experience, preferably licensed.
  • Familiarity with motion graphics and/or animation programs, such as After Effects.
  • Basic to advanced knowledge of photography.
  • Tech savvy with a genuine interest in computer science and artificial intelligence.
