Plum House, Ally's in-house production agency, is looking for an experienced Sr. Video Editor & Videographer to lead on-set productions and edit high-impact work. This person will be responsible for pitching creative, directing, filming and editing all forms of video content into visual stories. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work on multiple projects within a variety of timelines and complexities. This person will execute videos for both external and internal audiences, along with social media content with the same production quality and creative passion you'd find at an external agency. This position sits within Marketing, but will support enterprise-wide requests.

  • Edit or animate long-form and short-form content, including product overview videos, messages filmed on green screen, testimonials, how-to demos, interviews, and sizzle videos.
  • Use storytelling techniques to craft compelling narratives when given camera footage or individual clips.
  • Direct on-camera talent, providing feedback, and building a relationship to ensure authentic content.
  • Create motion graphics involving typography, photography, video, and illustrations.
  • Pitch, propose, and provide rationale for creative direction.
  • Responsible for multiple projects, ranging from the highly tactical, sometimes making minor video updates - to the highly strategic, facilitating, and leading ideation sessions to discover creative solutions to business problems.
  • Collaborate with brand, UX, product, business, marketing, and other channels to ensure content video maintains visual parity, tone, and approach across the Ally landscape.
  • Contribute to the maintenance and implementation of Plum House best practices and standards.
  • 3+ years of direct experience required.
  • Bachelor's in Marketing, Mass Communication, Film Production, Filmmaking, Cinematography or comparable experience preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge of the Adobe Suite (Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop).
  • Advanced knowledge and proficiency in filming with Sony cameras, including familiarity with various models, settings, and features.
  • A genuine love of video and passion for staying up on the latest storytelling, production, graphical and editorial trends.
  • A self-starter who strives to make the next video better than the previous.
  • Strong foundational knowledge of layout, color, grids, icons, typography, proportion, photography, and motion/rich media.
  • Deep understanding of Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, X, Facebook.
  • Experience with music selection, color correction, and sound design.
  • Highly experienced in taking creative ideas and translating them to visual presentation.
  • Possess basic photography skills, including knowledge of camera settings, composition, and lighting techniques.
  • Experience working in a collaborative and team-based environment.
  • Submit a reel demonstrating your skills of all three: video capture, editing, and motion graphics.
