We’re seeking a future team member for the role of SVP, UX Studio Designer to join the Design Hub within BNY. Structured as Accelerator teams, they are set up to partner with different areas of the bank that have not historically worked with Design, on a project basis. This role is located in New York, NY. Note: A portfolio of your work is required - applications without one will not be considered.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required.
  • 10-12 years of experience required.
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise for complex user experience activities including user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design.
  • Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams.
  • Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications.
  • Synthesize situations and information across multiple factors.
  • Build effective relationships with team members and across other teams.
  • Mentor and train more junior designers.
  • Communicate effectively, checking for understanding and advocating for user experience.
