Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in psychology, user experience, design, human computer interaction or a related discipline, or equivalent work experience required
  • 10-12 years of experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree preferred
  • Experience in the securities or financial services industry is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise for the most complex user experience activities that include user research and testing, interactive design, and visual design.
  • Review documentation of research findings presented to product and development teams, as well as new and modified user personals.
  • Participate and provide guidance in the creation of concepts, information architecture, user interface designs, wireframes, storyboards, prototypes, and specifications to meet project schedules.
  • Synthesize situations and information across multiple factors.
  • Build their expertise while applying company policies and procedures in the resolution of a variety of issues.
  • Give design feedback.
  • Build effective relationships with people on their immediate team and across other teams.
  • Get involved with team process and organization.
  • Help to mentor and train more junior designers.
  • Be a strong communicator that checks for understanding, asks questions to understand others’ point of view, and advocates for the user experience across the firm.
  • Operate from a Studio centric model, with the role receiving general instructions on routine work from a Lead Designer.
  • Regularly exercise discretion and execute under limited supervision.
