About The Position

About Trademark Property Company Trademark Property Company is a national leader in the evolution of retail and mixed-use real estate. For over three decades, we have been at the forefront of creating "places that matter"—environments that foster community, drive economic value, and stand the test of time. We are not just a service provider. We are a collection of entrepreneurs, creators, and institutional-grade operators. Joining Trademark as a Senior Vice President means joining a partnership that values intellectual curiosity, absolute integrity, and a relentless drive for excellence. We offer a sophisticated platform that combines the agility of a private firm with the discipline of a global institutional partner. The Opportunity Overview: Trademark Property Company is seeking a market-facing executive to serve on our Senior Leadership Team. As an equity participant, you will be charged with the strategic expansion of our Investments and Institutional Services platforms. This is a high-visibility role designed for a leader who can navigate the intersection of research, complex retail/mixed-use assets, and capital markets. As capital flows back into retail real estate, Trademark wants to be optimally positioned to take advantage of extraordinarily positive supply/demand fundamentals and expand our portfolio and AUM accordingly. This is a vitally important position to the company and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for the successful candidate. You will lead our Acquisitions platform which identifies, sources, capitalizes, and closes high-profile retail investment opportunities across the United States. You will also be encouraged to source Institutional Services engagements with strategic properties where an acquisition or investment opportunity is not available but Trademark can still add significant value.

Requirements

  • The "Rolodex" & Institutional Pedigree: You take pride in starting and building relationships. You bring 10+ years of demonstrable success within the institutional real estate ecosystem. Most importantly, you have the ability to strategically network and meet the important companies and executives you don’t yet know.
  • Transactional experience: Demonstrated expertise in leading complex real estate transactions from initial underwriting and due diligence through structuring, negotiation, and closing. Proven ability to design and execute sophisticated deal structures, including joint ventures, recapitalizations, and acquisitions, with a clear understanding of legal, financial, and operational considerations. Deep experience navigating the full diligence process, coordinating internal and external stakeholders, and driving transactions to a timely successful close. Proficient in reviewing and auditing Argus models to validate assumptions, ensure accuracy, and support investment decisions. You bring a disciplined, detail-oriented approach to transaction execution while maintaining a strategic perspective on value creation and risk mitigation.
  • Academic & Professional Excellence: You hold an undergraduate degree from a top-tier institution and have a proven track record of sourcing acquisitions and structuring joint ventures and institutional service engagements.
  • Executive & Leadership Skills: You are a goal-oriented and growth-minded executive who thrives under the pressure of high-stakes, time-sensitive closing conditions, viewing every challenge as a catalyst for platform evolution. You embrace and welcome internal and external collaboration and developing the talent that reports to you. You embrace a culture of learning.

Responsibilities

  • Acquisitions: Execute a comprehensive targeted acquisitions strategy. You will identify strategic retail and mixed-use assets likely to trade. You will pursue these properties in collaboration with the Trademark team through new and existing relationships with owners and key influencers/brokers. You will identify and pitch opportunities to compatible capital partners, negotiate purchase and joint venture agreements, and manage the due diligence process to ensure successful closings. You will collaborate with our internal vertical leaders (Research, Leasing, Asset and Property Management, Retail Development, Multifamily Development, Finance) to synthesize complex data into compelling investment theses and business plans.
  • Institutional Services: For strategic assets identified in the asset selection process where an acquisition is not available, you will be incentivized to secure and convert institutional owners into long-term partners and clients for asset and property management, leasing, and development services. You will pursue these fee and incentive management opportunities in collaboration with other Trademark verticals.
  • Brand Ambassadorship: Serve as a key face of the firm to institutional property investors, owners, and capital partners, representing the platform with credibility and market expertise. Lead the development and management of relationships with many of the most prominent investors in U.S. real estate, positioning Trademark as the preferred partner for retail and mixed-use investments. Leverage existing firm relationships while proactively cultivating new partnerships and expanding the network as a core driver of growth. Demonstrate strong relationship-building and origination skills, with a focus on creating long-term, trust-based partnerships that generate repeat business and new investment opportunities.
  • Reporting, Staffing & Collaboration: You will report directly to the Chief Investment Officer, a member of the Executive Committee. You will work closely with a lean team that currently includes dedicated analyst support, with responsibility for mentorship, development, and oversight. You will also collaborate with Trademark’s broader platform, leveraging cross-functional resources that support the growth of the firm’s retail acquisitions and institutional services business.
