About The Position

The Senior Vice President (SVP) & General Counsel will serve as a senior legal advisor to the CEO/President, executive team, and other operational leaders on a broad range of commercial, employment, and compliance matters. This role involves leading the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of various agreements, overseeing employment and labor law matters, directing the resolution of disputes, and developing risk mitigation strategies. The SVP will also manage relationships with outside counsel, mentor the legal team, and collaborate with the executive leadership team to shape and execute a comprehensive strategic vision that aligns with Atrium's priorities and financial objectives.

Requirements

• Minimum 10 years of relevant legal experience, including complex commercial transactions.
• At least 5 years in a leadership role.
• Exceptional contract drafting, negotiating, and problem-solving skills.
• Proven record of managing multiple priorities and building relationships.
• Deep collaboration skills with executive teams and external partners.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a senior legal advisor to the CEO/President and executive team.
• Lead the drafting, review, negotiation, and management of a wide variety of agreements.
• Oversee all employment and labor law matters, including policy development and compliance.
• Direct the resolution of disputes, litigation, collections, and other legal claims.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies and compliance programs.
• Manage relationships with outside counsel for quality and cost-effectiveness.
• Lead, mentor, and develop the legal team.
• Manage the legal department budget and review legal invoices.
• Review and approve company communications for legal integrity.
• Collaborate with the executive leadership team on strategic vision.
