We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Vice President, Data Governance to join our AI Hub team. This role is located in New York, NY. In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: Defines, maintains, and executes the roadmap for AI Resiliency & Production Governance in alignment with the broader enterprise AI Governance & Control strategy and scope. Provides technical and organizational leadership across deployment and production AI governance processes/standards/controls, ensuring resiliency, promotion‑to‑production rigor, and transparent change/issue management. Raises organizational awareness of the domain through direct stakeholder engagement, contributions to centralized AI Governance & Control reporting and communications, and active participation in AI Hub events, daily leadership meetings, key cross-disciplinary forums, and weekly reporting. Identifies and positively manages inbound/outbound dependencies with adjacent vertical domains (e.g., Product Management of new features) and coordinates with horizontal domains (Strategy, Training, Policy, Communications) to ensure continuous alignment. Provides oversight and leadership for operational AI Governance processes and the critical promotion to production pipelines. Creates efficiencies in the operational workload through the domain roadmap by leading Specialists to design, test, and implement automation features; and to design, socialize, and codify policy and process changes. Serves as the subject matter expert for AI production governance, resiliency criteria, controls integration, and production readiness including Eliza‑integrated change management procedures Leads end‑to‑end strategic planning and oversight for AI production controls, including governance checkpoints, exception handling, and continuous improvement across post‑production lifecycle management. Consults with business and technology teams to resolve complex governance issues; evaluates adherence to standards; and produces clear artifacts (process maps, RACI, controls documentation) to satisfy requirements and solutions. Champions development of AI Governance & Control Specialists through functional management and mentoring, stakeholder visibility, and opportunities to lead complex, challenging work within the domain.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., computer science, engineering, data/AI, risk management) or equivalent work experience
  • 9-11 years experience in the securities or financial services industry preferred; familiarity with enterprise governance frameworks and regulatory expectations.
  • Deep subject matter expertise in AI Governance within Financial Services, including production governance, resiliency, controls, and change/issue management.
  • Functional expertise relevant to the domain (e.g., Product Management of AI features, Controls, Regulatory Change, risk/compliance alignment, process engineering and policy codification).
  • Proven leadership experience influencing executives and cross‑functional stakeholders; able to communicate a compelling vision and drive alignment.
  • Demonstrated ability to solve problems pragmatically and decisively using available evidence; comfortable operating hands‑on while scaling through process and automation.
  • Experience designing and implementing governance automation and integrating controls into AI platforms and tooling.
  • Strong skills in process design, documentation, and measurement (e.g., governance KPIs, resiliency metrics, compliance adherence).
