About The Position

The Senior Vice President Commercial Business Unit Leader for Molecular Diagnostics & Pathology is responsible for P&L management of the Commercial Operations Business Area for Molecular and Pathology Labs for the US market in Roche Diagnostics Corporation (RDC). This role involves developing, directing, and ensuring successful execution of its vision and strategy, driving organic top line growth, leading new business development opportunities, and achieving optimal business performance. The position requires collaboration with Roche Diagnostics colleagues regionally and globally to secure the long-term success of the business. The role reports directly to the CEO of Roche Diagnostic Corporation and is a member of the U.S. Leadership Team (USLT). The leader is expected to foster a culture committed to transparency, collaboration, compliance, and quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • 10+ years applicable experience in an executive leadership role.
  • General Management experience.
  • Commercial P&L management experience.
  • Proven track record in leadership.
  • Ability to lead and manage in a competitive global environment.
  • Knowledge and experience in strategic planning, business planning, finance, and operations management.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Visionary thinker with positive and creative thinking abilities.
  • Highly effective communication, administrative, and management skills.
  • Exceptional knowledge of local, state, and national regulatory agency guidelines, including FDA.
  • Ability to champion quality improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for P&L management of the Molecular and Pathology Lab business unit.
  • Develops, directs, and ensures successful execution of the vision and strategy.
  • Monitors and evaluates the effectiveness of strategies across the business area.
  • Drives organic top line growth and achieves optimal business performance.
  • Develops and manages business area leaders, assessing resource capacity and capabilities.
  • Leads the new business development function to identify and assess new business opportunities.
  • Partners with Roche Diagnostic colleagues globally and locally for long-term success.
  • Ensures the Roche Diagnostics Quality Policy is understood and maintained.
  • Establishes and maintains an adequate organizational structure and resources.
  • Directs the quality planning process to drive continuous improvements.
