Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Construction management, engineering, architecture or equivalent
  • A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or Architecture, completion of Construction Management Certificate Program, or equivalent
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at one time
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of and direct support experience in required VDC software (i.e. Navisworks, Revit, etc.)
  • Highly organized, creative, solution-oriented and team-focused
  • Must have strong interpersonal relations skills, communication skills, enthusiastic attitude, leadership ability and excellent work ethics
  • Ability to keep current and standardized job files
  • Timely and accurate preparation of VDC models, shop drawings, etc.
  • Develop and maintain positive customer/client satisfaction
  • Continue to develop education and knowledge about the changing processes and trends in the VDC world
  • Flexibility to work with a variety of team members and dynamic project demands.
  • Minimum travel to jobsites is required- availability to travel throughout Colorado as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Lead VDC efforts for assigned projects from project kickoff through construction completion, serving as the primary VDC point of contact for the Project Team and subcontractors, for large scale projects including but not limited to multifamily, hospitality, healthcare and education.
  • Lead and manage the trade coordination process, including coordination meetings, clash detection, issue resolution, and sign-off tracking
  • Manage and define VDC scopes of work for subcontractors, including scope alignment, onboarding expectations, model requirements, and coordination responsibilities
  • Provide oversight, management, and guidance for projects starting in preconstruction and construction, ensuring VDC goals align with project schedule and budget
  • Prepare and manage project-specific VDC schedules and integrate them into the overall Construction Schedule
  • Manage models from contract documents to support preconstruction, coordination, and construction execution
  • Coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, and Field Engineers to ensure VDC deliverables support field installation and sequencing
  • Prepare, issue, and track VDC-related RFIs and integrate responses into coordination models
  • Verify accuracy of MEP system installation relative to coordinated models through field verification and as-built documentation
  • Ensure VDC project deliverables are met, and closeout requirements are completed
  • Utilize reality capture technologies including Leica RTC360 laser scanning, Mavic Enterprise drones, and 360 cameras. Train field teams on technology use as needed.
  • Plan and execute reality capture workflows to support existing conditions modeling and coordination validation
  • Compare reality capture data to coordinated models to identify deviations or installation issues
  • Integrate reality capture outputs into Revit, Navisworks, and coordination workflows
  • Support the project team in adopting emerging VDC and construction technologies
  • Develop and maintain VDC standards documents and checklists
  • Ensure BIM/VDC policies and procedures are implemented consistently across projects
  • Prepare estimates for VDC services including scope definition and level-of-effort assumptions
  • Track, manage, and price VDC-related change orders
  • Prepare VDC invoices and coordinate billing with Project Managers
  • Support Business Development efforts including proposal content and interviews
  • Write monthly VDC progress updates for assigned projects
  • Process and manage MEP shop drawings and model-based submittals
  • Prepare and present training materials for internal and company-wide VDC education
  • Maintain a Weekly Work Plan (WWP) through the construction phase as needed
  • Pursuing ongoing education related to evolving VDC tools, processes, and industry trends
