Because of the need for consistent, in-person collaboration and/or the requirement to perform all work onsite due to the nature of this particular role, it will be performed full-time on site. This means work will be conducted on location at a BAE Systems facility 100% of the time. We are seeking a first shift Senior Value Stream Specialist (VSS) as part of our Microwave Commodity at our Nashua, New Hampshire facility. This position is an exciting, dynamic and fast paced role to lead and achieve operational excellence through production execution activities within a team-based manufacturing environment. Responsible for meeting customer commitments through meeting safety, quality, delivery, and cost performance targets. This position will lead a team of direct reports consisting of assemblers, technicians and providing instruction to supporting inspectors and engineers. The VSS: - Plans for and maintains appropriate staffing levels through talent retention and hiring - Actively manages factory priorities and throughput - Optimizes factory layout, supports continuous improvements to improve product flow - Communicates areas of need to reduce defects and improve cycle time - Maintains an effective and efficient organization while effectively communicating responsibilities and objectives to employees and adheres to the highest standards of legal, ethical, and business conduct in relationships with fellow employees, the Company, suppliers, customers, and the public.
