About The Position

You will work with a talented team that includes other designers and user experience professionals in addition to having the ability to learn from and collaborate with software engineers, mathematicians, and data scientists. Requirements

• Typically requires a bachelor's degree, master's degree or PhD in computer science, information systems or related discipline.
• Six or more years of experience with a bachelor's degree, four or more years with a master's degree, or two or more years with a PhD.
• Visual portfolio showcasing work, including UI/UX wireframes and high fidelity prototypes.
• Ability to translate ideas and high-level requirements into functional design prototypes using design tools like Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Miro, InVision, Axure.
• Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud design applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, etc.).
• Experience designing and iterating on mockups and collaborating with code development teams.
• Excellent creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Strong visual design sense and appreciation for developing a stellar user experience.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize, and respond quickly in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI security clearance with a CI Polygraph.

Nice To Haves

• Experience developing immersive videos using After Effects, Premiere Pro, or similar.
• Experience using game design tools (Unity, Unreal Engine, etc.).
• Experience with animations, transition design, and illustration.
• Experience with frontend coding (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, TypeScript, etc.).
• Experience with CSS pre-processors (Stylus, LESS, SASS, etc.).
• Use data visualization tools/toolkits such as d3 or similar libraries.
• Interest in machine learning, artificial intelligence, data mining, and/or analytics.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside a team of talented designers and subject matter experts in our marketing and business development team to design innovative user interfaces and data visualizations for a growing proprietary web-based application.
• Design the future look, feel, and function of our multi-faceted Optix product.
• Maintain keen attention to detail while keeping sight of the bigger picture.
• Produce branded marketing materials.
