About The Position

From creating user flows and wireframes to building mockups and prototypes, you will envision and bring product experiences to life with an inspired, refined, and magical feel. You will join our multi-disciplinary UX team, collaborating with Engineering and Product Management, leveraging user insights to create industry-leading products. As an Interaction Designer, you'll apply user-centered design methods to craft industry-leading user experiences from concept to execution, working with design partners to evolve the Google design language to build beautiful, innovative products. Google Workspace’s mission is to connect people so they can create, build, and grow together. For the Workspace Monetization team, that means creating simple journeys for small businesses to sign up for Workspace, onboard to the value of apps, and grow their accounts over time. As a UX Designer for Google Workspace Monetization, you will deliver premium products and AI value. You will design a variety of Product-Led Growth (PLG) journeys, ranging from product discovery through account signup, onboarding, and ongoing product engagement. You will work on accelerating user conversion by designing promotional offers, improving the user experience, and communicating the value of upgrading subscriptions. AI will change the future of work in profound ways, and our products— Gmail, Docs, Drive, Calendar, Sheets, Vids and Meet are at the forefront. From pre-computed summaries for email threads, summaries for meetings, and videos created from a document using lifelike AI avatars, our AI opportunity is huge. You will work with model builders (Google DeepMind), work with exceptional leaders, and have the ability to impact billions of users across the world. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with interaction design in product design or UX design.
  • Experience creating interactive prototypes and user journeys.
  • Include a portfolio, website, or any other relevant link to your work in your resume (providing a viewable link or access instructions).

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree in design, human-computer interaction, computer science, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 3 years of experience working in a cross-functional organization.
  • Experience working on product-led growth programs.
  • Experience with incorporating AI into design methods (e.g., vibe coding, using AI for codesign).
  • Ability to lead design projects, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and communicate design rationale.

Responsibilities

  • Own and deliver business-generating Workspace subscription experiences, ranging from initial acquisition and sign-up to long-term customer presence.
  • Advocate for UX frameworks that ensure scalability and drive a positive impact on Workspace customer conversion and business.
  • Build and maintain relationships with user researchers, content strategists, and cross-functional partners to create unified solutions to evolve experiment roadmaps.
  • Navigate technical constraints and platform limitations with problem-solving, and ensure designs are both innovative and feasible.
  • Work in a fluid environment, prioritize, manage workloads, pivot toward emerging business opportunities, and meet accelerated project timelines.
