About The Position

As a Senior UX Designer on Walmart+, you will own end-to-end UX for complex Walmart+ experiences, leading work from discovery through high-fidelity production and launch. You’ll translate UX intent into dev-ready designs that balance fidelity, feasibility, and scalability, supported by clear, rigorous documentation engineers can confidently build from with minimal back-and-forth. Partnering closely with engineering, you’ll help bridge design and code by proactively identifying gaps, edge cases, and technical constraints early in the process. You’ll work within and help evolve the Walmart Design System, contributing to component thinking across APIs, variants, states, tokens, and theming to ensure consistency and reuse. Throughout, you’ll advocate for UX quality while balancing performance, accessibility, and technical realities, and you’ll mentor other designers on production craft and best practices for effective collaboration with development. This is not a concept-only role. We’re looking for someone who thinks in systems, components, and constraints—and can confidently bridge UX intent and front-end implementation. You should be able to anticipate how designs behave in code, collaborate deeply with engineering, and ensure quality survives the journey to production. This role is best suited for designers who enjoy production rigor and system thinking over pure visual or campaign-driven work. The Walmart+ Design team creates experiences and designs the website and mobile experiences for millions of customers with goal of creating awareness and continuous engagement with the Walmart+ membership program. As a part of the Design team that is at the forefront of retail, you will be responsible for building best-in-class visual experiences that drive continuous improvement and innovation on the world’s largest company. If you are motivated by world-class creative standards and want to build the future of commerce and consumer services, a Design role at Walmart could be what you’ve been looking for.
