About The Position

This role is responsible for architecting and designing complex Unix and Kubernetes computing environments across on-premises and cloud platforms. It focuses on AIX and RHEL administration, Kubernetes, virtualization technologies, enterprise hardware, and disaster recovery solutions. The position collaborates closely with development and technology teams to build, migrate, and manage services in AWS and physical data center environments.

Requirements

• Proven ability to create, configure, and manage Enterprise Linux based systems
• Strong Kubernetes implementation and management skills
• Ability to create, manage, and troubleshoot Manifest Files
• Ability to develop, read, and update Helm Charts
• Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tooling
• Experience using Git

Nice To Haves

• Good understanding of network technologies, e.g., load balancing, service APIs, DNS, gateways, proxies, firewalls, etc.
• Ability to review and troubleshoot Java VM / Tomcat errors and configuration options
• Understanding of PostgreSQL deployment and configuration
• Knowledge of Gradle or Maven build processes
• Experience deploying containerized applications in a public cloud provider (AWS EKS / ECS, Azure ACI / AKS)
