About The Position

Aon currently have an opportunity for a Senior Underwriting Assistant to support our NEMT Underwriting team in our Fort Washington, PA office. This is an assistant‑level role designed for individuals with underwriting or insurance support experience who are comfortable performing assigned tasks accurately and consistently within established procedures. This role supports a growing underwriting team and is not a replacement position. The team is experienced and collaborative, with many long‑tenured members who support knowledge sharing, training, and consistent underwriting practices. What the day will look like: As a Senior Underwriting Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting our NEMT Underwriting team.

Requirements

  • Active Property & Casualty license preferred ( or must obtain within 6-months of hire)
  • Prior underwriting or insurance support experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a structured, deadline‑driven environment
  • Comfortable using company‑approved digital and AI‑enabled tools to support administrative and underwriting tasks, in accordance with established policies and guidelines
  • High School Diploma or GED required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting commercial auto, transportation, or NEMT business is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Processing endorsement and loss run requests
  • Coordinating follow‑ups related to past‑due premiums and cancellations
  • Assisting with the triage and routing of incoming underwriting‑related emails
  • Preparing monthly DOT Insurance Evidence reports for state submissions
  • Providing underwriting support through administrative and processing tasks
  • Performing other duties as assigned
