About The Position
The Hartford is seeking a highly skilled Property and Casualty (P&C) Middle Market Underwriter to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be at the forefront of our mission to provide exceptional coverage and support to our clients. As a Senior Underwriter, you will manage and underwrite a Middle Market book of business, ensuring that our customers receive the right amount of coverage tailored to their unique needs. Your expertise will be crucial in analyzing agency books on a quarter-to-quarter basis, allowing you to identify potential actions and opportunities for improvement. You will expertly apply all applicable underwriting guidelines when making decisions, showcasing your ability to handle highly complex business scenarios with minimal support from senior underwriters. Your responsibilities will also include agency management, where you will create, drive, and execute strategies for new and renewal accounts. This involves managing prospective books, executing on mix strategies, and developing agency sales plans. As a trusted advisor and solution provider to brokers and agents, you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong relationships and ensuring client satisfaction.
