About The Position

Performs all the essential functions of the Registered Sonographer. Performs and evaluates sonographic examinations and physiologic vascular testing. Obtains clinical history and performs a physical assessment of the patient's condition to determine appropriate testing protocol. Provides a technical interpretation of sonographic and physiologic data to aid physicians in rendering a medical diagnosis. Requires credentials from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in a minimum of three specialties including vascular technology. Requirements

  • Coursework/Training and Completion of ultrasound program (min 1 year in length)
  • Associate's Degree In a related health care field Or Credentials with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers.
  • National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer Or Upon hire: National Registered Technologist - Sonography
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer
  • Within 6 months (180 days) of hire: National Certification from American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association

Nice To Haves

  • 2 years of Recent full-time paid experience in abdomen, OB/GYN, and vascular technology.
  • Recent experience in Neuro sonography.
