About The Position

Drive innovation projects and product developments for ultrasound imaging. Design, develop, and evaluate ultrasound imaging features/technologies to assess clinical value and relevance. Focus on key aspect of ultrasound systems engineering, including ultrasound signal path design and implementation, imaging feature development, and image quality optimization and clinical evaluation. Design, integrate, optimize and test imaging algorithms within the architecture of a premium ultrasound system. Conduct research and development in ultrasound signal path, including transmit and receive frontend, beamforming, signal processing for B-mode, Color, spectral Doppler, and other advanced features. Take ownership of image quality, from algorithm research and development, system performance verification, engineering and clinical image optimization, and customer support. Drive systems-level product development, owning design specifications and verifications that complies with related medical device regulations/standards (FDA, IEC, etc.) and internal quality management and design control processes. Drive innovation and continual improvement of imaging performance all the way from concept generation to prototyping and product implementation. Leverage knowledge and experience to elevate the technical/clinical capabilities of the team. Drive collaboration and teamwork in an Agile environment. Approximately 10% travel required.

Requirements

  • The position requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or an acceptable alternate occupation.
  • The position requires two (2) years of experience with the following: experience in medical imaging product Development.
  • Position requires experience with the following: experience in ultrasound physics, novel beamforming algorithms and system design, signal and image processing, acoustics, algorithm specification and development; experience with Matrix transducers, Matrix array simulations, Single element fabrication and water tank measurements; experience using MATLAB/Python for fast prototyping; C/C++ programming; experience with ultrasonic acoustic simulation tools (e.g., PZFlex, Field II, K-wave) or experimentation environments (e.g. Labview).
