Requirements

Exceptional robust C++ programming skills
Experience developing features for games across multiple platforms
Proven background in online multiplayer or real-time interactive technology
Interest in social, frontend, and gameplay-adjacent systems
Strong empathy for players and a drive to create outstanding user experiences
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
Collaborative mindset with the ability to give and receive constructive feedback

Nice To Haves

Unreal Engine experience preferred

Responsibilities

Envision, plan, and implement new UI features such as HUD widgets, minimaps, mission flow, activity feeds, and interaction menus
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable C++ code
Optimize and debug new and legacy systems
Integrate backend systems to support seamless player experiences
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams on cutting-edge features across the Fortnite ecosystem
Align with backend developers on service and client goals
Partner with art and design leads to ensure the UI meets both aesthetic and functional goals
