Senior UI Designer

True AnomalyLong Beach, CA
$145,000 - $205,000

About The Position

True Anomaly is dedicated to building innovative technology for space security and sustainability, leveraging spacecraft, software, and AI to support the U.S., its allies, and commercial partners. The company's mission is to safeguard global security by ensuring universal space access and sustainability. Creatives are integral to this mission, tasked with inspiring, defining, and building solutions in an industry focused on protecting people. True Anomaly is seeking an experienced UI designer to join its growing creative team at an early and pivotal stage. This is a hands-on creative role that involves developing prototypes, defining the company's design system, and fulfilling other mission requirements. While UX knowledge is important, the primary focus of this role is on visual direction and creation. The designer will collaborate directly with the Creative Director, who is building a team that values both craft and mission. This position offers a unique opportunity to establish the visual standards for mission-critical space software, as no such standard currently exists. The role provides significant ownership, with work ranging from prototypes that influence product strategy to design systems used in high-stakes environments by government and military operators. The impact of the design work will be substantial and visible at the highest levels.
