About The Position

The Senior Turnaround Process & Performance Manager is responsible for helping identify improvements in turnaround work processes, execution readiness, and overall organizational capability. This role provides expert-level guidance based on extensive experience in developing and implementing turnaround processes and controls. Key responsibilities include developing turnaround processes, governance frameworks, steering and strategy team structures, BI dashboard concepts, and project integration procedures. This position includes developing KPIs that integrate with BI dashboard concepts and provide clear visibility into cost, schedule, readiness, and overall turnaround performance.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Fifteen (15) years’ experience in turnaround planning, execution or project controls.
  • Experience developing procedures, workflows, and standard work.
  • Strong understanding of turnaround planning, readiness criteria, and execution management.
  • Knowledge of scheduling, cost controls, performance metrics, and progress measurement.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills.
  • Experience building or leading turnaround governance structures.
  • Knowledge of industry standards such as API, ASME, OSHA.
  • Experience with BI dashboards, KPI frameworks, or reporting tools.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and support the implementation of a comprehensive turnaround work process covering the full lifecycle.
  • Create standardized turnaround tools, templates, workflows, and supporting guidance documents.
  • Lead improvement initiatives to enhance all turnaround procedures.
  • Develop charters, roles and responsibilities, and operating rhythms for Steering and Strategy Teams.
  • Build training programs to initiate the turnaround life cycle.
  • Support BI dashboard concepts for cost, schedule, readiness, and KPI reporting.
  • Partner with Planning, Scheduling, and Cost teams to integrate KPI definitions and reporting.
  • Develop procedures for integrating capital and reliability projects into TAR events.
  • Support planners, schedulers, and coordinators with work package and readiness development.
  • Participate in readiness reviews, scope challenge sessions, schedule reviews and post-event learning.
  • Demonstrate ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment on turnaround strategies.
  • Strong continuous improvement mindset with the ability to identify, recommend, and implement process enhancements.
