Assures that all support equipment are well maintained and in good operating condition. Sets up equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and Sanford policy. Maintains appropriate records per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and Sanford required reports. Aware and communicates scheduling conflicts as needed or predicted.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Must have an understanding of Department of Transportation (DOT) driver compliance requirements and endorsements.
  • Driver history must comply with Sanford driver qualification standards for insurability.
  • Class A B or C Commercial Drivers License, and full compliance with DOT regulations required.
  • Must have appropriate endorsements for position.
  • Must pass a Federal background check with Transportation Security Administration.
  • Must maintain valid DOT medical certification card.
  • Must maintain all required endorsements.
  • If incumbent does not hold required endorsements, must obtain with six months of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Drive a single vehicle over 26,001 pounds GVWR or a combination vehicle over 26,001 pounds GVWR or any position requiring endorsements such as passenger or hazardous materials
  • Combines motor vehicle handling ability and communication skills.
  • Medical information sensitivity and confidentiality are a must, and are practiced at all times.
  • Transports safely and as scheduled.
  • Assures that all support equipment are well maintained and in good operating condition.
  • Sets up equipment according to manufacturer's recommendations and Sanford policy.
  • Maintains appropriate records per Department of Transportation (DOT) requirements and Sanford required reports.
  • Aware and communicates scheduling conflicts as needed or predicted.
