About The Position

In this role you will work to efficiently trim cannabis plants, while creating minimal waste, resulting in a high-quality product that is compliant and ready for sale or processing. This person will be responsible for maintaining and following standard operating procedures. In addition, as a Senior Trim Tech, you will be responsible for training new employees, using our computers systems for inventory and compliance tracking and ensuring quality requirements are met.

Requirements

  • Effective time-management skills and ability to multi-task
  • Ability to work well with others while also completing individually assigned tasks
  • Prior cannabis experience not required
  • Must pass any and all required background checks
  • Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry
  • Must possess valid driver's license
  • Must be a minimum of 21 years of age
  • Must be approved by state badging agency to work in cannabis industry

Responsibilities

  • Trim flower from plants in a quick and efficient manner, while ensuring a quality product
  • Trim flower by hand and/or using trimming, sorting and packaging equipment.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
  • Sit and stand for long periods of time while focusing on detail-oriented trimming, as well as post trim upkeep
  • Track the amount of unusable waste for each plant/batch, in addition to usable by-products
  • Demonstrate proficiency with weights, measurements, and math
  • Experience trimming several different strains of cannabis.
  • Maintain open communication with management team and co-workers
  • Train new hires/transfer on standard SOP's and work instructions in area.
  • Work with inventory management software systems.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor and/or Team Lead
  • Be aware of hazards in the workspace.
  • Retain and understand department specific training.
  • Report safety incidents/ concerns and comply with follow-up actions.
  • Be compliant with area safety requirements, state regulations and PPE requirements.
  • Follow GMP, biosecurity, sanitation or other quality and compliance requirements.
  • Perform record keeping accurately and completely as directed by a lead or supervisor.
  • Maintain and calibrate tools, equipment and machinery as directed by a lead or supervisor.
  • Report and escalate safety & quality concerns.
