About The Position

SUMMARY : This position is responsible for leading and directing the Tyson Transportation fleet to achieve business and financial objectives. Responsibilities include: Driver management. On time service management. Asset utilization. Driver safety and compliance. Load assignment and selection. Trailer pool plan execution. Driver expense management. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor s degree preferred
• 3 plus years Tyson transportation experience preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Microsoft Office is a plus
• Tyson Business Computer Systems to include Sale Inventory SAP Transportation and Warehousing Systems
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• This position acts as a team leader providing functional supervision for other members of the work unit such as assigning work and training lower-level positions
• 1-5 domestic trips per year
