About The Position

As our Senior Transportation Sales Manager, you will be responsible for driving revenue growth through transportation service sales and fostering long-term partnerships with new and existing clients. This role will focus on developing and implementing strategies to expand FreezPak’s transportation services, optimize customer satisfaction, and lead a high-performance sales team. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of logistics, cold storage, and transportation solutions, with a proven track record of success in sales and business development.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in sales, with a focus on transportation or logistics services.
  • Proven experience in cold chain logistics, transportation sales, or freight forwarding.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing sales teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to create and present data-driven sales strategies.
  • Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and other relevant software.
  • Willingness to travel as needed to meet clients and attend industry events.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Strategy Development: Create and execute strategic sales plans to achieve revenue and profitability targets for transportation services.
  • Business Development: Identify, target, and develop new transportation business opportunities through networking, client outreach, and relationship building.
  • Client Relationship Management: Cultivate and manage relationships with key clients, ensuring long-term satisfaction and identifying opportunities for expansion.
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a sales team, setting clear goals, providing feedback, and fostering a collaborative and performance-driven environment.
  • Contract Negotiation: Oversee the negotiation of contracts with clients, ensuring competitive pricing and alignment with company goals.
  • Market Research: Stay informed on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to adjust sales strategies as needed.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with operations, logistics, and customer service teams to ensure seamless execution of transportation services.
  • Sales Reporting: Monitor sales performance, create reports on key metrics, and provide insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Customer Service Excellence: Ensure high levels of client satisfaction through effective communication, problem-solving, and service quality improvements.
